Dr Mokhtar TOUATI: graduated in Civil Engineering (1989), received his M. Sc. (1996) and obtained his Ph.D (2012) from Faculty of Engineering at University of Science & Technology Houari Boumediene (USTHB), Algiers, Algeria, with the collaboration of the Civil Engineering from Faculty of Engineering University of Porto, Portugal. Since 1996, as a Professor and searcher in the Built Environment Research Laboratory of Civil Engineering Faculty of the University of Science & Technology Houari Boumediene (USTHB), Algiers, he has been lecturing undergraduate courses on Theory of Structures, Mechanics, Dynamics of Structures, Organization of Construction Sites, and post-graduate courses on Finite Element Analysis, Theory of Plates and Shells and Stability of Structures.

Area of Interests

His current main Scientific Areas of Research are: formulation analytical and numerical models for structures under dynamics loadings and characterization fatigue and fracture of materials, control of Vibrations in Civil Engineering, Buckling and Stability of Steel and Concrete Structures (Industrial and Residential Buildings).With some professional interventions in the expertise area of the buildings damaged by the earthquake of Boumerdes, Algeria (2003).
